Automatic question answering in the CMS

Automatic question answering refers to a question-and-answer function that can answer user-generated questions concisely and accurately. Compared to searching with keywords, question answering can save a lot of time and money. Provided that the underlying archive contains the desired information in a recognizable form, the following questions, for example, can be answered; hypothetical answers are also given for illustrative purposes:Newspaper with questions.

  • When was company XY founded? In 1993.
  • What can the search engine index? Text, audio files, video files.
  • Name intelligence agencies. - GCHQ, BND, CIA ...

A question-and-answer function significantly enhances a content management system (CMS). Both FAQs (frequently asked questions) and more complex questions can be automatically answered based on the documents within the CMS.
