SEMPRIA-Search - A new experience of semantic search

One of the biggest problems of traditional word-based search is that most queries can be interpreted in several ways with usually only one interpretation being relevant. By using the meaning-based search engine SEMPRIA-Search, the query can be made more precise by using it within a phrase or question (example: "supervisors of Gazprom" and "In which supervisory boards is Schröder a member?"). This reduces the number of irrelevant results drastically.

SEMPRIA-Search with its more refined results was awarded the prize for innovation in information technology. SEMPRIA-Search and WILOT were also named "one of the best" in 2012 and 2018, respectively. In 2013, an early version of SEMPRIA-Search received the second prize for innovation in information technology.

A powerful search through intelligent language understanding

SEMPRIA-Search offers a whole new approach. Instead of looking for a string of letters, SEMPRIA-Search compares meanings. The underlying data is processed by modern language technology. This allows the meaning of any query to be compared with the meanings of the underlying data. That is what we call meaning-based search. It is an intelligent form of semantic search and goes beyond the use of ontological systems. Visitors of your website will notice the differences instantly. SEMPRIA-Search delivers more precise results. Questions can be asked directly at the search engine (example: "What is the cause of disease XYZ?"). All that makes searching a refreshing and relaxing experience. SEMPRIA-Search will not only unlock the true potential of your content, it will also enrich the experience of your users. This is what turns a one-time user into a returning visitor of your website.
